About the conference

↪ ︎When will the conference take place? Where is it located?

The 2019 CSSCamp Conference will take place on July 17, 2019 at the AXA Auditorium in Barcelona.

↪ Is this conference for me?

We are pleased to announce our very first edition of CSSCamp 2019, a one-day, one-track conference for developers and web designers, held on July 17th right before JSCamp at the same venue, the comfortable Axa Auditorium in Barcelona.

If you are working on the modern web and want to make meaningful connections, expand your network, hands-on learning, grow your career, exchange and bring fresh ideas, demonstrated best practices and innovative visions back to your business, then CSSCamp is the perfect conference you must attend!

Join over 300 professionals to learn to solve real-world problems faced by developers, designers and businesses, and a wide range of other people who work on the modern web to understand the current and future needs across our communities. Let talented programmers, designers, and senior developers of all stacks, who are doing amazing things for the modern web, explain to you how to build a better, faster, more secure and accessible web and deliver the best user experience.

↪ Which language is spoken?

All sessions are held in English. We encourage all participants to speak English, even with your friends, to make everyone welcome and join conversations.

↪ How long are the talks?

Regular talks are 30 minutes.

↪ Will there be wifi onsite?

Absolutely!

↪ Will there be disabled access?

CSSCamp is pleased to offer an accessible Venue for wheelchair users. There are complementary tickets in case you need assistance.

If you are arriving by Taxi you can be dropped off at the Hall entrance. Should you wish to use public transport, please note the majority of the metro stations of Barcelona are wheelchair adapted. The bus fleet is also accessible for people with reduced mobility and other functional disabilities.

There are a great number of accessibility issues that can hinder people from attending an event. As it is our main goal to have an inclusive event with a welcoming atmosphere, we are trying hard to remove these barriers.However, we are aware that accessibility issues are diverse and this does not cover everything. If there is something that keeps you away from this conference please get in touch with us so we can work this out.

↪ Do I need to wear my badge during the entirety of the conference?

To gain entry to CSSCamp, on the day of the event attendee must present the ticket sent by email, printed out in an easily legible form. All attendees, sponsors, volunteers and the JSCamp team are obliged to wear the badge in such a way as to prevent any misuse and for security reasons.

Tickets

↪ What is included in the ticket prices?

You'll have access to all the CSSCamp conference sessions on the dates included in your ticket. The pre-conference workshops, all require separate tickets. All tickets include breakfast and permanent coffee and soft drinks bar during the conference. Not included in the ticket price are accommodation, travel, lunch, dinners, or any other costs, unless specifically indicated.

↪ Is there a group discount?

Absolutely! You will get automatically 10% off when buying more than three tickets!

↪ Why do I have to pay VAT?

Spanish laws don't allow VAT exemption for conferences. Yes, even to VAT registered businesses in EU countries. We are obliged to charge VAT for every ticket we sell, for everybody and even every company. A longer explanation can be found here: https://ti.to/docs/vat

↪ Can I get a refund?

Tickets to this event are non-refundable. There is nothing we can do after a ticket has been bought. However, you can transfer the ticket to a different person: open the link to your personal ticket at ti.to (the service that handles ticketing for JSCamp) and click the button “Re-Assign” at the top right. There you can enter a new ticket owner.

↪ Are there student tickets?

We do not offer student tickets or discounts, but you can still apply for a scholarshop, Scholarshop program will open on 4th June until 15th June.

↪ Are there any scholarships?

Yes! If you wante to attend CSSCamp Barcelona, but have difficulty attending the conference this is your chance! We hope our program enables you to join us and contribute to our conversation. A conference like CSSCamp represents an opportunity for people from all over the tech community to come together and explore the challenges faced by developers worldwide. Since we do not offer lunch at the conference itself, you have to take care of yourself like the other attendees.

↪ How can I support the Diversity Program?

We are currently looking for various organizations to provide access to relevant groups. If your group or organization would like to be included in this program, please contact us.
